Sea Day–Feb 25, 2013

Finally a sea day so that we can recharge our energy levels. Today Lelik and Ria from the Pinnacle provided a cooking demo.IMGW0570

This was their second or third demo, and as before it is definitely a well planned effort.IMGW0571

The recipes include Gado-gado, consisting of a variety of steamed vegetables such as cabbage, carrot, bean sprouts, cauliflower florets mixed with a spicy peanut sauce. The chicken, Ayam Betutu, is stuffed with chopped lemongrass, shallot, garlic, chilli/sambal, and scallions along with fresh turmeric.

Pat’s knitting/crochet/quilting/embroidery group, which gets together at 2pm on sea days, had a group photo taken. Some of the group were not present, and some are getting off in Singapore in a few days. Lots of fond memories to last a while, there is always a lively chat going on in parallel to ‘work’. Claire den Hertog, the party planner (bottom rh side of photo) ensures that this gathering is advertised in the daily program.IMGP7409
